Black & blue ink & the paper
That forever hold the feelings you once felt
And the promises you once made
Why not written in pencil
So when you changed your mind
I could just erase them from my mind & heart
As you had done
How I wish I could erase you from my life
But you have sketched yourself in gray detail
On the wall inside my heart
On the screen of my mind
So every time I close my eyes
I see no darkness but love, light, you...
Only to open my eyes & find that by letting you in
I have let the darkness out
You are sketched there in ink
And I cannot erase you--ever
